Note - RULE CHANGE - BOUNDRIES
With this years interest of anglers from north of Cape Ann and polling of current entrants regarding the boundries of this tournament the Tournament Commitee announces the current change -
Tournament boundaries for Striped bass are from the Merrimac River to Scituate
(East to the federal water’s line on striped bass)
Note- it is illegal to catch or posses striped bass in federal waters.
Lots of bait and large stripers just about any place
you go now in the general Salem Sound area, reports are that the bluefish
have now shown . Lots of bait still around too, inshore and
offshore

Dewar's will be on site for the tournament and will be adding
to the prizes with a bottle if Dewar's Signature to the first place
Striped Bass winner, 2nd and 3rd place will receive Dewar's 12.

We are kicking this years
tournamnet into gear adding a boat raffle thanks to Bob Grout and New Wave
Yachts in Marblehead. This is a $30.000.00 boat we are raffling off at
$100.00 a ticket with a limit of 500 tickets to be sold. The boat will be
on display in front of FINZ in the weeks prior to the tournament and will
be in the water at the dock for the drawing - turn key, ready to go !
We will announce locations to purchase tournament tickets in the
next week.
We are planning a live auction to start shortly after
the captains meeting on friday night, this is not limited to tournament
entrants so bring you family and friends. We are always looking to add
auction items and services so if you have something you would like to
offer let us know.
Wharf Classic, Inc. is a 501(3)(c) non- profit organization
and all donations are tax deductable.
100% of the revenue generated
from the auction, raffle and tournament is given to our
beneficiaries.
The transient dock at pickering wharf marina will be
open to tournament entrants during the tournament and Saturday night at no
charge for dockage. Be aware we will be rafting boats on the
transient dock if need be.
There are a limited amount of slips
available for Friday and Saturday night dockage - contact the
dockmaster at Pickering Wharf Marina or Hawthorne Cove Marina. Moorings
and launch service is also
available.
